Awesome Day
Despite the cold foggy morning, the Berkeley Botanical Gardens was amazing. My group’s presentation on pygmy forests went well. It was hard to play and sing cause of the cold, but I really liked our adapted version of “Part of Your World.”
Called Christine and wished her Happy Birthday. (ie. Feel special because I called you). Wishing close friends Happy Birthday that are far away Happy Birthday over the phone is something I want to start doing more consistently.
Despite making it a little too watery, my attempt at making Mapo Tofu was a success. Was able to share it with Tim Chen while watching this mind blowing video on fractal geometry and how it is in everything around us. I wish they went more into the methods though.
Despite flip-flopping on whether or not to actually go, I’m really glad Tim convinced me to surprise the Lillian and Vivian at the airport tonight. I wanted to do it, I just needed the goading of someone else honestly.
I was thinking though, it wasn’t really necessary for me to go, it was something I wanted to do. I get really motivated when I want to do something, especially if it’s surprising friends. I will go to great lengths to try and surprise someone or do something nice for them. And when it’s either dorky or cute, man, I go overboard sometimes…
